Why We Started Collins Lane

My name is Andrew Collins, and seven years ago my wife Sophie Collins and I started Collins Lane together. It began with a simple idea. We wanted to create a menswear store where finding something you like felt easy, comfortable and enjoyable. We have both always appreciated good style and clothing that looks right without feeling overdone. For us, good clothing should fit well, feel comfortable and be easy to wear in everyday life. We wanted to bring together pieces that men could wear for a day out, dinner with friends, work or a relaxed weekend. As Collins Lane grew, we started hearing from more customers who wanted the same simple approach to style for women too. That is when Sophie and I decided to add a womenswear collection alongside our menswear range. It felt like a natural next step for us and helped Collins Lane become a store with something for both men and women. From the beginning, we have always tried to keep things simple, personal and honest. That same idea is still at the heart of Collins Lane today.

Seven Years Of Collins Lane

Looking back, Sophie and I are incredibly grateful for how far Collins Lane has come. What started as a small idea between the two of us has now been part of our lives for seven years. Over that time, we have had the chance to hear from customers from all across Australia and learn more about what they value when choosing their clothing. Their feedback has helped us improve and shape Collins Lane along the way. We have always wanted the store to feel like a place people can trust and enjoy coming back to. Even as Collins Lane has grown, we still care about the same things we did when we first started. Good styles, comfortable clothing and a simple shopping experience. We are very thankful to everyone who has supported us and helped make these seven years possible.

What Comes Next

Sophie and I still enjoy working on Collins Lane just as much as we did when we started. There are always new styles to discover, new ideas to try and things we can improve for our customers. Our goal is to continue offering clothing that looks good, feels comfortable and fits easily into everyday life. We also want Collins Lane to remain personal and straight forward, with clear information and a team that is always ready to help. After seven years, it still means a lot when a customer tells us they have found something they really enjoy wearing. We are proud of what we have built together, but we are even more excited about what is still ahead. Thank you for visiting Collins Lane and for being part of our journey.
